South Canmore

South Canmore is often referred to as “Downtown” Canmore. It’s a fantastic hub with lots going on such as the Canmore Folk Music Festival, Canada Day Celebrations, Fathers Day Show and Shine and many other activities.It’s a quick walk to Main Street to visit your favorite restaurant or pub and to pick up that necessary item at the many shops and boutiques.

South Canmore has held great value over the years, with it boarded by the Bow River and Policeman’s Creek as well as Centennial Park, the statement that they are “not making any more of it” has played well to people who purchase or sell in this area.

With a higher water table basements are now not permitted. This does lead to higher overall per sq. ft. cost but the convenience of living in this area has proven to override the negatives and many local families, empty nesters and Weekenders choose to make this their Mountain Home.
